Café System Vendor-Supported Browsers
The following information was provided by our vendors and was last reviewed on 2/1/2010.
- Other browser/OS combinations may work, but they have not been certified by our vendors
- Please note that Northwestern University Information Technology (NUIT) does not support all combinations listed
- Internet Explorer 8 is not officially supported by NUIT
- NUIT "does not recommend upgrading computers currently running Windows XP to Windows Vista"
- We are in the process of assembling a list of unsupported-by-NUIT combinations and will note additional exceptions below

Recommended Browser Settings:
- The URL of the InfoEd application should be added as a trusted site, and pop-ups should be allowed for this URL.
- The browser cache should be set to check for a new page on every visit.
- The browser should not be set to "show friendly HTTP errors." This will help to provide useful error messages if you need to report an error to InfoEd Technical Support.
